Growing Well has a contract with Cumbria Social Services, which purchases ‘day service’ placements for people recovering from mental health problems. Additional income is generated through the wholesale sales of produce . A third income strand comes from a contract held with Kendal College, which purchases horticultural training from Growing Well. Collectively these income strand meet a third of the company’s costs at the end of 2006, the remainder of funding being met from a mixture of charitable grants and public funds
